Day Train Obedience Programs

All of our programs focus on fun and reliable obedience training.

Training sessions are held at the Pasadena Pet Motel in South Pasadena, FL, which holds an active kennel license issued by Pinellas County Animal Control. This license ensures that all proper procedures and protocols are strictly followed in accordance with animal control guidelines.

We limit our students to minimal number of dogs at all times. This allows us to provide each dog with the individual attention and focus that they need.

​Socialization Opportunities
To further enhance their socialization skills and boost their confidence, your dog will have the opportunity to participate in doggie daycare through the Pasadena Pet Motel. This provides them with valuable playtime and interaction with other dogs in a safe and supervised environment.
Engaging DAYTIME Environment
​During the day, your dog will have multiple training sessions, rotating with other enrolled students. When not training, they will be participating in doggy daycare. When they are having down time, they will enjoy their own air-conditioned spacious run, complete with mental stimulation toys, chews, fresh water, and a cozy bed.
​Student Requirements
Students must be four months or older and must have required vaccinations. Dogs must complete an evaluation with us prior to enrolling.

Drop Off + Pick Up Times
You can drop off between 7:30 and 9 am, and pick up between 2:30 and 4 pm. The front office stays open until 5:45 pm for late pickups. Knowing pickup times helps us plan our day. If you need an earlier pickup, just tell us when works for you.

Student Updates
We post regular photo updates of our students to social media platforms. We email our clients twice a week with updates.

Board and train
All of our Day Train Programs can be in the form of a board and train program. There would be an additional boarding fee. If you are going out of town during the time of training, we would require a local emergency contact. Please email at stk9trainingcompany@gmail.com for boarding quote.

graduation information
Graduation lessons are completed at our South Pasadena facility in an outdoor environment where we practice real-life scenarios. Lessons are done typically in the morning hours. In-home lessons are offered for an additional fee.​​

how do I get started?
First, complete our evaluation form. We will then contact you to schedule an evaluation, which will take place at our facility. We will arrange a drop-off time for you in the morning, and you can return two hours later for a review of the evaluation. If you're unable to return after two hours, your dog can stay until the end of the day for a day care fee. We can also email you the evaluation results. If you'd like to enroll after the evaluation, we'll be happy to get the process started with you. *Please note that all evaluations require a morning drop-off.

day train program overview
With our day train programs, you can drop off your dog Monday through Friday for a day of intensive obedience training and doggy daycare. We offer a variety of programs to fit your dog's particular needs. All of our programs listed below can become a board and train program, for an additional boarding fee.
PUPPY FOUNDATION PROGRAM
We offer a puppy foundation program, where we start teaching a young dog expectations, wanted obedient behaviors, and curb unwanted puppy behaviors. This is a great program to start teaching the beginning stages of obedient behaviors, introducing exposure, and making good choices. Obedient behaviors taught include a sit, down, place, heel, and recall. It is important to note that this is a foundation and reward-based program, and we are not proofing these obedient behaviors to “work in all scenarios and situations”. This program is ideal for puppies between 4 and 8 months of age. Our Puppy Foundation Program takes about 10 days. If you would like to take your puppy's obedience to the next level and proof the obedient behaviors within one year of graduating from this program, we apply a discount towards your dog's next program. Included is a one-on-one lesson with a trainer at our facility, documentation on commands and how to reinforce behaviors, and a video of our dog demonstrating all commands. The total is $1000.
on-leash obedience
We offer on-leash obedience, which is a great program for all dogs. This program includes a sit/ stay, down/ stay, place, heel, recall, and off command on leash. We take students on outdoor adventures to proof their obedience. We also practice real life scenarios to ensure success. In this program we can address minor behavior concerns. This program typically takes two to three weeks. Included is a one-on-one lesson with a trainer at our facility, documentation on commands and how to reinforce behaviors, and a video of your dog demonstrating all commands. Equipment included is a directional correction training collar, 6 ft. leash, tab line, long line, and treat pouch. The total is $2500.
off-leash obedience
We offer off-leash obedience to all of our on-leash obedience graduates. This program includes a sit/ stay, down/ stay, place, heel, recall, and off command off leash. We take students on outdoor adventures to proof their obedience. We also practice real life scenarios to ensure success. In this program we can address minor behavior concerns. The program typically takes one week. Included is a one-on-one lesson with a trainer at our facility, documentation on commands and how to reinforce behaviors, and a video of your dog demonstrating all commands. Equipment included is an e-collar from E Collar Technologies. The total is $1750.
On-Leash Obedience + Off-Leash Recall
All of our students thrive in our on-leash obedience program, but some clients want the freedom for their dog to explore off leash knowing they will recall back to them. This is a great program to obtain that off leash recall without your dog going through our entire off-leash obedience program. We can teach great on-leash obedience, and a remote off-leash recall. This program takes about two to three weeks. Commands learned on-leash would include sit/ stay, down/ stay, place, heel, recall, and an off. Remote off- leash commands learned would be a recall. Equipment provided would be a directional correction training collar, 6 ft leash, tab line, long line, treat pouch, and an E Collar Technologies collar. This program would also include a one-on-one lesson at our facility, documentation explaining commands and how to reinforce behaviors, and an obedience video of your dog. Total cost would be $3000.
On-Leash Heeling Program
Just interested in heeling or loose leash walking? Then this could be the program for your dog. Here we teach a proper heel command. It is important to note this program is not for dogs that are reactive, where a program more conducive to behavior modification would be beneficial. This program takes about 1 week. Equipment included in the program is a directional correction training collar and 6 ft leash. Upon completion clients receive a one-on-one lesson at our facility, documentation regarding command and reinforcing the command, along with an obedience video of the dog. Total cost is $750.
Off-Leash Recall Program
Just want your dog to reliably come when called off leash? We offer this obedient behavior in our off- leash recall program. Here we teach an on-leash recall and proof the behavior off-leash as well. Equipment included is an E Collar Technology collar. Clients receive a one-on-one lesson at our facility, documentation about the obedient command and how to reinforce it, along with an obedience video of their dog. This program takes about 1 week and the cost is $850.
